At the beginning of the ep you see a red dot (which i theorize to be cane) swallowing a blue one (able).. meaning that 2 AI models were made, but caine was the superior one and was therefore favored. It would make sense why there wasn't any confetti when Able got despawned, unlike when it happened for every other npc||
