they don't make a difference, they are both the same level of competitiveness, if you're 100% ready to go, I woudl do REA just because you will get a result sooner and if you do get in you can relax on your other applications and have that early indicator and be done with the process sooner

But if you are not ready or think your essays could use more love, then I would hold off because you will not be able to amend those once you submit your application

At the end it's up to your TF to decide if you deserve an A/A-/B+/B/B- regardless if u did like great and made like a 96% avg and, taking into account the grade distribution of all ppl in the course, it is likely that the A range will fall extremely high due to how easy it is to do good in CS50 unless you're just not a CS/computer person at all. So let's say it's 99% like it has been the past few iterations of CS50.

If you made a 98.5% but you ended up taking the easy way out on all of them, I've heard cases in which TF's have just not bumped u up cuz they don't think u deserve to be in the next grade band

its super subjective, but they do a good job of vetting TFs I think

I would just recommend walking around and soaking up the vibes

Harvard Sq is a really unique place, the only place remotely like it I've been to is Georgetown Hilltop in DC

There's also other stuff to do in the area like bookstores, you could go to Newbury Comics in the Garage

A few people on the reddit are saying the decision is gonna be Thursday but I unfortunately think that’s denial on their end bc Harvard usually announces on their website the Monday morning before and it’s now Tuesday

I ended up changing the date to speculated bc of how many emails I got abt it but I stand by it at minimum likely not being this Thursday

One guy emailed me all entitled as if he was the sole reason it changed to speculated

“I appreciate your openness to changes” struck me as very corporate coded

but when I go to the applicant portal i don't think they are attached
