GPA is more important than prestige for med schools. Both is phenomenal but GPA matters a lot, the average med school GPA across the us is like a 3.9.

I know a lot of people who chose more chill undergrads for med school and are in top med programs now. I also know the opposite has happened for students at top undergrad institutions that didn't go to as top med schools.

It's an even more randomly chaotic process than applying to undergrad tbh.

I would go to UCSD. I don’t know much about uva premed, but ucsd premed is very good and it seems like you liked the campus a lot. You will definitely be able to connect with people of your ethnicity on campus through cultural orgs. I think the socially dead allegations are over exaggerated.

UCSD isnt socially dead that much I toured it and there seemed stuff going on and it wasnt even admitted students day. Its just the campus is a little bit spread out. its nothing to worry about and the Premed rates are great. GPA is more important

GPA is vastly more important for medical school. I know your goal is Stanford, but as a legacy T5 school, they have an acceptance rate of likely less than 1% at this point, with interview rates of probably around 5%. Just do your best in undergrad and aim for medical school in general, I would hate to see you get hung up on a goal that would be a high reach for anybody.
