**Schools: **Colorado College VS the College of Wooster VS BArd College, I also got into St.Olaf/Clark/WPI/RPI/Binghamton/COA/DePauw during early action round, but I'm leaning towards small LACs with access to community and nature. These three are my top 3 considerations unless my RD results change things.
Intended major: Ecology (envsci) + Anthropology
Similarities: All are small liberal arts colleges with decent research and graduate school opportunities
Colorado College

  • Pros:*
  • In Colorado Springs (urban and access to lots of shops and internship?)
  • Unique block schedule system
  • Gave me pretty good vibes during campus visit
  • A bit more widely known
  • cool school history
    Cons:
I have to pay full tuition, and living costs will probably be a bit higher in urban areas (I'm international)
    The College of Wooster
  • Pros:*
  • Scholarship of 200k over 4 years.
  • Gave me awesome vibes during campus visit
  • tight-knit community and cool school history
  • mandatory research requirement
    Cons:
  • My parents think their SAT average is too low, which they equivocate to a less smart student body. I disagree but they're the ones paying tuition
  • less well-known
  • mandatory research requirement
    Bard College
    Pros:
  • Huge 1000-acre forest and river access (I am interested in river ecology research)
  • Very social justice-oriented and has a cool prison bachelor's program.
  • I have to pay full tuition
  • Cool professors+the school seems very progressive/innovative in its approach to education.
    Cons:
  • Mediocre vibes during campus visit (might be due to bad weather).
    Tiebreaking considerations:
  • CC and Bard have double tuition (for international students, it would be at least 400k USD over 4 years) & 20-30 ranks higher in all US LACs. Since I will be going to graduate school anyways, will my bachelors degree even matter?

For bachelors it does not matter. As long as you personally have opportunities for extracurriculars that appeal to grad schools like research.
