Cost isn't an issue but could be considered
Mainly looking for broad technical knowledge
Prefer warmer weather and urban centers

Waterloo CS: Lots of work experience but curriculum is much more intense

GT: less intense compared to waterloo but more "prestigious" in the technical field

Waterloo also sends a pretty big portion of its tech grads to the US

waterloo prestige is no where near gatech

#

other than obv if it doesnt fit u, then go waterloo

So Waterloo is about 2/5 the price

but honestly i would still go gatech

id rather be worst at gatech than be first at waterloo cuz the degree is same nonetheless

#

anyways there are more factors than just prestige to consider obv, but that was my input

V late to this but as a GaTech student, GA tech ECE is an excellent program. It does happen to get cold here for a while, but it’s a great experience and I’d recommend it. It is also very intense so if you’re worried about not getting enough rigor, that is not going to be the case here, it’s all up to you and the courses you take as well as the credits you come in with. Generally speaking, an engineering program is going to be a more challenging and extensive workload than CS

Waterloo CS is nice tho

#

And you’ll have so many opportunities with the co-op format to get an RO in the US

#

Plus you save on a lot of money while going to a top CS program
