NYU vs Rutgers

Schools: NYU vs Rutgers
Intended major: Radiology / Sonography
Similarities: Both decent schools that I'm considering

NYU
Pros:

• Pretty prestigious and has a good ranking
• Basically outside my doorstep so the commute wouldn't be difficult
• Have friends attending, so I wouldn't be a complete loner
• Don't need to dorm because I live in the city
• Campus is the city, could also be a con

Cons:

• She costs a PRETTY penny, (not completely sure how my financial aid is going to look) but I'm trying not to have price influence my decision
• Admitted to LS, people have been telling me it's not as good (don't know if it'll work with my intended major)

Rutgers
Pros:

• Also a pretty good school, just not as competitive
• Admitted to the school / major I wanted
• Know people who plan on attending
• Change of scenery, it could be nice to get out of the city for experience

Cons:

• I'd probably need to dorm because 3 hours of traveling back n forth just doesn't float my boat
• Heard it was pretty ghetto
• New environment away from the city, not really sure if there's anything fun to do other than partying because I'm not a huge party person.
• Apparently it's like the suburbs??

Yes New Brunswick is deep in the new jersey suburbs

I’d go with NYU bc location is a big factor and my brother went to Rutgers and rlly didn’t like it. he said he felt the location was too boring and we’ve lived in nyc before and he def liked nyc better
