hi!! set on majoring in ES, looking for strong programs.

Location/Region
Mainly small city or rural- i want access to nature and opportunities that would align with my major. anywhere in the US,

  • Major:
majoring in environmental science!! if i were to change, would still be in a science.

  • GPA/Test Scores:
    GPA: 3.9 UW 4.69 W - SAT: 1390

  • Size:
medium to large, over like 3000

  • Costs:
any cost! not a factor for me (ty military)

  • Schools You're Currently Looking At: University of Vermont
    University of Washington
    Cornell
    University of Delaware
    University of Maine
    Towson University (close to home)

Having a strong program is 100% the strongest factor for me. I also want a school thats inclusive and has a diverse population. Resources and opportunities are also important, but not dealbreaker.
Lmk if there are any schools you would suggest adding or if you have any advice! ty!

university of florida has a great environmental science program

also unc chapel hill

tbh a lot of florida schools have good environmental science because of their access to places like the everglades

Since cost isn’t an issue, UCSC has an excellent program, located right in the middle of the forest with redwoods all around and has the Monterey bay/Pacific ocean nearby.

#

Also meets your inclusive and diverse population requirement, and it’s a medium sized school, about 20k students total

#

Also Santa Cruz isn’t too large of a town but if you need large town stuff then San Jose is nearby

^^ and if you apply to ucsc it might be worth sending one to ucsd as well if you're interested in ocean systems because they have a partnership with scripps institute of oceanography
