• getting considered for 40 acres means you have a strong application in the first place, which correlates with a better chance for admission
• total hearsay off reddit: apparently the Exes (alum association that administers 40 acres) were upset about 40 acres people getting rejected, so [apparently] they might have changed the 40 acres process to only consider candidates that the AOs pre-select. no clue what this means for major admission.

*im not liable if ur a 40 acres semi or considered and later get rejected from UT or ur first-choice major
