#University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) (2024-2025)
1 messages Β· Page 4 of 1
pay is low but i am fortunate enough to come from a family that can support me
if u dont get funded ur getting fleeced
el oh el
If I go oos I don't want to burden them further by being like "hey guys so 6 more years :)"
valid
that would like
lowkey suck
if u get into a top school i think its like
60k a year sometimes more tho
Same
I doubt this
Unless you're counting like summer internships and stuff
sorry
its not 60k
u get like 50k at top top top schools
but unelss u go to yale or princeton
ur in the red
i.e u have to get a summer internship lmaoo
50k not a lot especially in the locations where these schools are at
Which could also add time to your PhD π¦
Oh hell nah
i think 6 years working summers is reasonable
but its just a grind year round
Yeah
shit
isnt phd admisisons easier if its like
the school ur already doing research at
i.e u just continue work with the faculty
Like you're not making much more than an MS person who had the time to get 4 years headstart on you
Yeah
Hm maybe yeah research
and those roles make a ton
Like into algos and stuff?
Yeah that makes a lot but also hard to get into
grad school helps
eh
swe sure
but like
a phd is a research degree at the end of the day
i see no point doing a phd
if u dont want to do
research
if u wanna just be a code monkey swe then yea get ur masters at most and just hop out
Not necessarily
phd or equivalent experience
If you're not doing research into the algos but moreso on application
Depends on the company but many will hire MS
But it's getting saturated
yeah if u have an ms with sufficient experience u can get hired
for a lot of ppl that sufficient experience
is a phd lol
But still in the end i feel like it's not worth it to do it for money but just to change career and become a researcher
But ofc you can do research without one
And master's degrees very expensive usually
So it all just depends
true
if i still like research ill apply for grad school
else i wont
too far to tell
Yeah
praying that i get in π
@boreal locust is nuclear engineering at uiuc iirc
same here π
Yeeeees
are u in state
im oos as well
alr
fair
wait do u know the acceptance %
for cs+ggis
nope
but i'd imagine it'd be really high
bc i'd imagine so few people actually apply unless they;re really into geo
all those people who applied just for cs and have no real interest in geo would prob get filtered out anyway
i have one gis activity along with a few cs ones as well as enviro sci ones
83% for nuclear π
so hopefully they let me in
Woohoo
π
Anthropic doesnβt take interns lmaooo
The only big ai company that doesnβt π
nepo
u got this homie
rizz up an exec
i dont have any gis activities per se but my entire common app essay is about my passion for geography (prompt 1), i got a national geobee W, i have two geo related ecs (one of which is my most important ec and is in position 1 and another is on the list) and i asked two people in cs+ggis as well as my friend in an ivy league to review my supps and both of them said they were pretty good
and i took a lot of cs classes at school and got all A's in them except one A- and have a few cs related ecs, one of which is tied to my ec at pos 1
im gonna be real pissed if i dont get in
where'd you find this stat
same
W, i applied CS+ling from TX
i have a few linguistics ECs, conlanging, naclo, ling club founder/prez, and i spent my EC essay talking about writing my own programming language
do you know anyone in CS+Ling who's adding Math or Physics as an additional major
I know multiple people looking at adding a math minor, but I don't recall anyone looking for an additional major.
interesting
cs+ling seems rly cool but a lot of my linguistics friends told me undergrad ling isnt amazing. in general
gh i shoulda applied CE second major
A lot of undergrad ling seems really... narrow in application. You get a broad overview of many of the concepts, but you usually only learn research methods much later on, and NLP type stuff is usually handled in CS classes
ahh k
Later classes do teach you more useful things, but linguistics isn't as hard of a science as other majors so there's not as much of just learning something and being able to apply it
My application was very weird in that a lot of my ECs were not at all related to what I applied for, or were related tangentially. I had no NACLO or anything, but I did have stuff like audiobook narration.
Actually, some classes like phonology do teach you to use software like Pratt to actually do spectral analysis of recordings, which is a directly applicable skill
pratt π©
Praat, my bad
Fleck is a computational linguistics prof
CS 173, CS 440 Prof
CS, CE, Meche you cannot apply as second choice major, only first
did you only apply for first choice major
π₯² if worst case you get into math, you can always transfer to Math&CS but is hard in general
CS + Ling is a good major i met a lot of cool ppls
I do reseach in ML and most kids from NLP is from CS + Ling
nice
Search up UIUC FOIA and itβll give you by major and OOS status
Until 2022
I think these are the latest one from grainger
for cs and cs+x i think the data is outdated but there is one floating around in reddit
https://www.reddit.com/r/UIUC/comments/12kwc4a/uiuc_cs_admissions_demographics_data_since_2019/
if I apply CS for my first choice major, can I add second major now?
π cs acceptance rate is so low
these numbers are in thousands? or (im tweaking)
does this mean that (for example) there were 23 non-resident male applicants to cs+ggis in 2022 and of them less than 20 got in?
Correct
wow
Take into account more people apply
yeah
To majors across the board
Now
For majors like that
It means more people get in
So overall better for you prolly
only 23 applicants is wild for one year
23 non-res males
so based on this data and the enrollment stat
10 people are in co2025 for cs+ggis
and 4 people for co2026
those are the people that enrolled
theres undoubtedly people who turned down the offer
so i think its safe to say that the AR for cs+ggis is north of 50%
i want to say high 60-75ish
fr
Where can I find the list of free electives
does UIUC suffer from over-enrollment like Purdue does?
asking specifically about Granger
not sure specifically grainger, but school overall had some over-enrollement issue this year
so there was a huge housing problem
ic. what about freshman course registration? anybody not able to register the required courses?
the yield rate model was way too off this time
havent seen that issue at least in grainger
for instance at least in CS or ECE they restrict the courses to the majors only for few weeks span make sure majors take the seats first
can cs+x majors take some of the technical electives grainger CS has to fill up their free elective slots
Yes, CS , CS +, CS& majors have equal priority when selecting CS courses
LETS GO
when you register for classes, for instance CS 225 data structures you will see the following in restriction section:
Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels:
Undergrad - Urbana-Champaign (1U)
Must be enrolled in one of the following Majors:
Computer Engineering (0109)
Computer Science (0112)
Statistics & Computer Science (0464)
Math & Computer Science (1438)
Computer Sci & Anthropology (5348)
Computer Sci & Astronomy (5349)
Computer Sci & Chemistry (5350)
Computer Sci & Linguistics (5351)
Computer Science&Crop Sciences (5623)
Computer Science and Music (5639)
Computer Science & Economics (5667)
Computer Science & Advertising (5673)
Computer Science & Geog & GIS (5676)
Computer Science & Philosophy (5679)
Computer Sci & Animal Sci (5864)
Computer Science & Education (6081)
Computer Science and Physics (6150)
ComputerScience&Bioengineering (6151)
sick
so really you dont have to worry about getting into classes
lfg
thanks
now i know i can take some cool cs classes too
aside from the program requirements
yeaaa just note tho you have to sometimes be quick on registeration hope that u press register button before ur peers π
some popular classes fill up very quick
damn this is like trying to buy concert tickets
thoughts on CE
Awesome program, you get to explore the full spectrum of computing from hardware to software, namely get to take classes related to FPGA, OS, DS& Algorithms, Computer Architecture, and models of computation
but it comes with the cost, the degree is not easy
We also have cool class like parallel programming (we use Nvidia A40 GPU to study CUDA with our NCSA supercomputers), Autonomous Vehicle course, RISC-V, ML programming etc
sick thanks
Do you go here lmao
pls let me in uiuc so i dont have 2 go to isu
Yea
No way
Sadly they do go there π
Exactly
Basketball will be interesting
Competed with Alabama and beat Arkansas
Didnβt Purdue beat bama though
idk who to support for college bb
rutgers
My D got into UIUC EE last yr but didn't go (OOS). Why do you say that?
uiucpls take me
D in which class?
D = daughter
S = son
DD = dear daughter
DS = dear son
DC = dear child
All mean the same concept
well DS is dear sir usually
I am not sure the etiquette for using dear and not using dear tho
from what i know about steno
Not on college forums
oh ok
ILL
uiuc please take me π
sending you the best luck man
thanks bro π
i have a low gpa but im gonna pray so hard that my common app, ecs, cs coursework/grades, and supps carry me
also my sat isnt bad either for the major
isnt cs + ggis like
not that sought after due to the niche specialization
you'll be fine
Your what?
Wsg jj lmao
isu is dollar store uiuc
anyone oos cs+math ea?
just dying from courses... i have 3 final project due all this week....
Iβm instate
ea cs+ggis, oos
probably daughter
Daughter
In all honesty I love it here, just a joke cause finals are coming up
was going to but did cs ling instead
any plans for scholarship?
any plans for scholarship?
any plans for scholarship?
In state?
oos
Damn nice good luck
π
No scholarships here
Good luck with that
im working on it
i applied to around 10 so far
hopefully i'll apply to a good amount and get enough to cover at least half the price
cuz its gonna be expensive as a oos student
and a student who doesnt qualify for need based aid
if i dont secure enough scholarship money to cover at least half the price OR if i get a better package at another school uiuc is most probably out of the question for me tbh
good luck getting any aid as an OOS student
even in-state aid is bad
<3 department of defense πΈ
are you doing ROTC?
yes
cool
thanks
lets goooo
yep
my NPC shows 64k with 0 aid
so unless i secure at least half the tuition cost in scholarship money uiuc aint happening unfortunately
how much does applyting in niche cs + x help
like fr
A lot, but you have to be interested
Goes from a 4% or so to maybe 20%ish
got it
uiuc let me in
uiuc let me in
uiuc let me in
uiuc let me in
Rahhhhh! You get the first board army?
yep
Nice same
my navy got sent back after 3 months cuz i forgot my initials π
Didnt get AF tho
i gotta wait for december board
I think my interview went bad bc i didnt wanna apply to the school i went to interview for
Damn i dont hear back for af until march
my interviewer really liked me he said he'd give me an OTSSP if i went to his school
Cant put it in my activities list
but his school is columbia so thats easier said than done
damn
Wait whats that
commanders scholarship
Did you go to columbia for yours or was it online
but i know they give a lot more money 2 in college ppl
in person
Nicee
it was at the crosstown in the bx
I wish i did my princeton one in person but i had already done it by the time i did a visit
Still talked to the roo tho but i reslly wanted to meet the pms
He sent me a handeritten letter tho which was nice
and nrotc december board comes out after EA
I wish i did nrotc
They have some good detachments i heard
I dont get why some ppl are super committed to a branch
tbh the detachment doesnt rlly matter
Like the one that accepts you is the one you should do lol
I just gotta choose within army now tho
army doesnt have a lot of nuclear stuff
Oh that makes sense for navy
yea
I think uiuc has navy too
I really liked af tho bc duke has a pretty friendly detachment that seemed to put a lot of effort into cadets
Some of the cross town ones are awful bc you dont get to do anything
detachments have a 1/3 turnover rate every year
i wouldnt get hooked on particular det ppl
ye crosstowning is balls
just annoying tbh
Yea its crazy stanford doesnβt host
fr
some crosstowns r chill they only make u come 1 day
and u get to pt on ur own n shit
thats fine low k
fr
the entire state of alaska doesnt have a single navy rotc unit
tragic for alaskabros
Do they have any big schools tho
UAF is like the biggest and i think they got like 7k
idr
they're one of the direct admissions partners on commonapp
? What that
Oh cool i didnt see that
uiuc let me in
me too
uiuc let me in
uiuc pretty please let me in
uiuc let me in
uiuc please release me from all these exams and projects π₯²
where can you see this?
uiuc pls pls pls pls pls let me in!!!!!
UIUC let me in pretty please with a cherry on top
common app
where in common app?
u have to qualify under certain criteria
to get direct admissions offers
like first gen, low income, military, etc
uiuc ππ₯°
idk the top
uiuc please let me in so i can say i copped a t20 even though my gpa is mid
UIUC is t20???
itβs 9th for public schools maybe thatβs what they mean lol
Maybe they meant for CS
T5 for CS
How does deferral/waitlisting work in regards to second choice majors?
I selected a second choice major, could I be deferred and get in with my first choice still, or only my second choice
Or do they not defer at all if someone chooses a second choice major
uiuc i beg of thee please let mΔ into your prestigious university
i dont think this is true
iirc if you chose the second choice and get in with that then you need to transfer into the first major once you start
Itβs probably pretty hard to go from math to math and CS
yeah
seeing uiucalex reels on instagram is making me want to apply ngl
entry to CS+X is pretty competitive overall, but between Xs is not a big deal
except for grainger X
iirc you cant transfer into CS, CS+Physics, CS+BioE bc they're in grainger
tbh i think the system's kinda stupid but whatever
Wdym between Xs
like cs+econ to cs+philosophy
or even from cs+econ to Math&CS
uiuc let me in
why
it shouldnt be that bad ik some people who did it. the main thing is aiming for all As
also in this job market I would not reccomend doing just cs so in a way the cs+Xs might be better
Yeah thatβs why Iβm really hoping I can get into UIUC because not many schools offer math and cs and I donβt want to study pure cs
!Chance

sob
Guys
Does uiuc make decisions based solely on jr year and below grades for the EA round
Or do they also consider the midyear report
Because my trimester 1 finished
because i want to go to college
ong
the vast majority of EA rounds donβt look at mid-year reports because of the timeline
alr
does UIUC give acceptance rates for
majors
not just colleges
i might consider switching from CE to EE
you have to submit a ferpa request, the info thats available online is outdated
but honestly its probably a very trivial difference
mm okay
wait
there's this one post on reddit that has every engineering majors acceptance rate, and they even have one that categorizes all of them by gender and residency
i saw it but its def outdated
I guess it gives an estimate though
just spoke to an alumni
20 years ago this place was the shit and i told him it still was
Wait so did you have to send a mid year report for usc or nah or did they just look at your final grades?
Y
wdym
switching to CE from EE is easy
my major isnt eligible for EA, my deadline was december 1
Ah okay well my point is still effective for this scenario did you have to send in a mid year report or no?
ok guys
so my uncle told me that cs+x programs are not worth it because employers would mainly consider the person with the cs degree not the cs+x degree
because they, in theory, have done more cs coursework
do you guys agree with this reasoning
also is it really ethical to leave out the X part on your resume
and just state BS in Computer Science because you're still getting the BS
except its from the LAS
this is uh
not how they think of it
tmk most employers really look at it as a double major
besides in this stage of the tech industry, you probably want a second specialization outside of just CS
because
i see
yeah i didnt agree with that line of reasoning
Why
Your uncle isn't a good source π
Why
why not is the question
horrendous mascot ngl
possibly
yeah so they probably changed it for a good reason
even if the new one is lame its better than the old one
idk i thought the chief mascot looked pretty cool
i think its abt more than just looks
it was incredibly racist, thats why it was changed
it was a student (very likely white) in a costume that claimed to represent the illiniwek confederation but the regalia was actually from the sioux culture which wasnt involved in the illiniwek confederation in any way
we dont have one
some people are trying to make the kingfisher our mascot but the alumni are gonna get pissed off and so they wont pass it because they need their donations
so real
this is likely not true. for internships and jobs the recruiter is mainly looking to see if the person has the skills and previous experience needed to actually do the job
cs is a very broad subject and you dont only need to be a cs major to know cs
thats why cs+x is quite nice bcs you can specialize in a field where cs is being applied instead of the general swe job
and regardless of cs+x or cs almost all of my friends have some type of research or internship lined up
I see
Do they have it in their X, in regular CS, or both?
both if you have above a 3.7 gpa its not hard to get some type of research by the end of sophomore year and internship wise if you apply a lot starting from the start of summer youll probably get something by jan or feb
alr
CS + X majors get equal resources as CS majors
bet
what do you think of purposefully leaving out the X on the resume
and just stating BS in Computer Science
untruthful, tbh
hmm yea
its not a double degree, you didn't earn a degree in CS and a degree in your X. You earned a CS + X degree
yea
employers arenβt going to view the fact that you learned MORE than just cs negatively lmfao
alright lol
anyone know when decisions dropping? I've seen some say mid december but their website said jan 21st or something
EA drops jan 31st
Thanks
uh
i think it's that weird scale out of 40 that nobody gives a fuck about
oh
itβs one of your sub scores
Idk, I don't have all that
What's the general consensus on admission chances for rd cs or cs+x
Odds are generally higher with CS+X but make sure to actually have an interest in your X
why do i have none of that
this is it
kinda boils down to whether you have experiences with an X that you could talk about
i sent three test scores
oops
(they consider highest score right)
yes
alr
oh yea how does it work w out the superscore but they look at section scores
idk
uiuc let me in
does anyone know the econ acceptance rate π
chances of CS oos 4.1 w gpa π
Good question
I have my highest math, highest reading, then my non superscored sum. Idk if they consider highest.
no chance me
between 0 and 100
chance me founder of the university
i hope
They mostly consider highest non superscored
i don't have subscores for that
wait actually?
No
It comes out Jan 31st
Dunno where y'all are getting the info from
Or they're rolling out decisions by major
damn that was scary
Are you intl
Yes
Competition lol
Yeah
I hope we both get in
IL
Only thing I have going for me
who here applied for data sci and informatics
Yeah definitely
Yeah I havenβt heard it being terribly difficult or anything
You would just need to take the necessary coursework and meet grade requirements I believe
agree
i love being in-state β€οΈ
Idk I hope a lot
ong <3
Can instate female cancel out my GPA?
Itβs a joke
guys why is gies so selective im gonna kms
thankfully econ is more ez to get into
but still
4.15W
Bad lol
They also recalculate for academic classes so Iβm even more cooked
no like why does gies have a lower acc rate than grainger now
what r u applying for
Math CS
How do I find that
First-Year Class Profile, Undergraduate Admissions, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
are u doing cs + x
idk which one that would be
real
How are you above if itβs 4.0
do u think sat would get me rejected if its in this range
ayy 3.95 gang
ok 0.01 away
alrr
uiuc let me in day 1000
2.6w 840 sat will i get in
Yes
lets go!
being in-state for any public helps a lot
some states itβs near-impossible to get in if youβre oos (uta has to have 93% in-state students and unc has to have ~80% in-state)
70-75% of students at uiuc are in-state
yipeee
ok i swear my school has terrible UIUC #s
like one kid went π thirs yr
fr
fr
ch*mistry
I HATE CHEMISTRY
FUCK CHEMISTRY
!!!!
I need a 5 so I NEVER have to take it again.
ME TOO
TWINS
I HATE CHEMISTRY TOO
BECAUSE ITS AN L SUBJECT
i did not study for the exam at all
i somehow got a 3
L
rippppppppp
my teacher's 5 rate is 95% but his grades are in the 80s for most of his students
brother is underemployed HARD
hes super smart but rlly sassy and annoying ngl
no like
for the amount of prep i did
i'll take that 3
(i did not study at all)
me neither
physics on the other hand ...
i hate chemistry too
π
yk whats even worse
chem is better than physics imo
i got tested on organic chemistry after the ap test
physics is art
two quizzes and a whole ass unit test
there r kids taking orgo and ap chem at the same time
it's GENUINELY cooked
for them
orgo is genuinely the devil's spawn of academic subjects
ive never hated another subject that much before
everyone says our teacher should be like making bank in an actual chemical job
cuz hes low k a genius
and he just flexes on us ngl π
i think ur just a nerd ngl
but thats okay .
we all have our own academic interests., u just have the wrong one
π
OKAY
OKAY
freakmode 247 i forgot
chemistry freak is a different type of freakish ngl
fr
my friend's taking orgo at cc and he has to go to lab like 4 times a week
hellish
like 8 extra hours of class
π
me a gigachad who got 10 credit hours with only like 1.5 hour outside of class last sem
archaic does not mean obsolete! verifiably vexing parable of inquietude
i expected it to be pronounced facinΓ³rous instead of facΓnorous
latin borrowings are strange like that
took me awhile to read the accents since im so used to looking at ipa π
ipa for english is terrifying
it betrays my regional accent
so
or lack thereof
english is bad, but french is so much worse
there's no way
its like "or-durve"
WHAT
honestly fair
charlemagne really made a mistake when he divvied up his empire
NOOO
im not bougie son there's no reason for me to use the word
i think my spelling bee is showing because i learned that word as one of my flashcards ages ago
entirely valid
literally though
like who said it was okay to make an entire word out of vowels
french is not okay
TRUE
name this shit right now dawg
oh no
CHCHCHCHCHCHCHCHCH
we can't get more carbohydrate than this
well. oxygen
but we dont discuss oxygen
the hydrocarbon says, "oh!"
ahahahah so funny
hah hah hah (kill me)
how is this different from casting spells and uttering curses
wizardposting in disguise
is this an execution spell or is it cold medicine
sigh iβm going to die arent i
omg yhat was me last year
IT WAS CHILL
chem hate ???
see this is why chemistry is the most evil stem field (other than biology)
physics doesn't have curse uttering and cardiovascular distress
chemical engineers when they have to chemically engineer
tbh nuclear engineering >>>>>>>>>
we're way cooler
UIUC nukes represent ..!
(no one else)
yeah so thats easy actually (sorry)
nahhh no way
generally, when do ea decision is released?
January 31
it is allowed (sorta like benzoic acid is allowed but its technically "benzene carboxylic acid")
but unlike di/tri the iso is actually counted in the alphabetical order part
uiuc let me in
uiuc dont let him in
freak you bro
UIUC LET ME IN SO THAT MY INDIAN PARENTS CAN BRAG TO MY INDIAN UNCLES AND AUNTS THAT I COPPED A T20 SCHOOL (T5 FOR CS)
π π
wait so i can say purdue is a t20 (t5 in my major)?
only 5 schools have ai
LMFAO
but isnt uiuc a t20 overal tho
or nah
nah
damn
its 40something iirc
so its equal to rutgers
mb, 33
except its cracked at cs
slightly above rutgers
nah atp just pull up to cornell college iowa
Lmao that's my safety
Anyone else get a financial aid email?
yup
ish
LMAOO i got a sticker from them and my asian parents were like is this harvard
uiuc let me in ty
bro someones gonna jinx if u keep saying that π
yes
they'll let me in
my essay was kind of trash so you all will be alright
fake
bro
guys
its not that hard
just trust the portal guys π π π
jan 31
ion trust portal
Hmmmmm nah i think its coming out mid December
lemme check what we had for last year
bc it released like 1/24 last year or something
but if it said the same date on the portal, we'll add it to #π-decision-dates and will pin
do not
@little haven was this accurate last year
Yes
Itβs alr in #π-decision-dates
oh mbπ
bc i hate why major essays and it was all why major
thank god
did you ask chatgpt what the decision date is
no my friend sent me ts
it was from collegevine so i do NOT trust it
yeah no lol itβs whatβs in your portal
uiuc chill as hell they actually tell people when theyβll find out instead of just giving a vague answer
they just lowkey chill guys fr
unknown
ok
man
im scared
if i get rejected from uiuc as in state econ major bro π over
it was like 5pm cst iirc
uiuc had my favorite portal
my favorite portal rn is georgia tech
ok
hmm so
its not a letter no
do u log in and it shows up in ur face
tryna mentally prepare myself
no you have to click on the button that says you have a status update
oh okayy
damn
wtf that's so cruel
wait thatβs lowkey heartbreaking
the acceptance was so cool that even my die hard penn stater parents were hype
yea it was horrible
yea the acceptance page is hella cool
is it for out of state ea too decisions today??
uiuc releases decisions today?
no
end of january
why are they taking that long bruh
suspense
or maybe itβs cuz a buncha people apply
isnβt their population bigger than a small town?
my motivation is to put "uiuc'29" in my insta bio
this is one of them. it sounds like chatgpt wrote it before chatgpt existed
lol
NO WAY
NO WAY YOU GOT IN WITH THAT BRO π
OH THANK GODDD
WE GETTIN IN CHAT
(sorry)

lol the essays had nothing to do with it, I actually didnt know much about uiuc until after I got accepted
I had many awards, great grades and ecs
which covered for the essays probably
why are some places saying uiuc decision comes out mid december
plural for freshman year goes insane
because people lie on the internet
the decision date is the date in your portal
this is why i did engineering
this makes me hopeful
Hey
why yall cooking bro π
im sorry guys i neededhope
its all good my essays were pretty bad
also realistically 150 words is probably not going to make a big impact on the decision
my common app is literally all about the X part of my cs+x major
if uiuc senpai does not take me im gonna crash out
whatβs up illinoans
thank god brother
bro i better be getting into uiuc in one month + 18 days
man im having second thoughts
i should have done CE or EE
ahhh
if i got to UIUC im going to try swithcing from ling+CS into CE
π
why do you wanna switch?
ahh i see
You can also take the new semiconductor minor
recently ECE department partnered with Samsung, made a brand new semiconductor minor
DAMN
the one thing stopping me from applying as a computer engineering major at places is the chem requirement
ngl i like chem
ive had such a traumatic experience with chem
junior year was not fun at all
ap cs a was my saving grace
genuinely the only class i enjoyed that year
calc was pretty alright tho
alongside a cs elective
huhh computer engineeering does not have chem requirement
at least at uiuc
doesnt grainger have it?
electrical engineering does
I think the only majors without chem requirement is CS and Compe
ohh ok
Also if you guys are curious about major classes and grad requirements, go here:
