you're going to get a range. If you get a lot of interviews, you're going to get a lot of practice. I would suggest putting together an elevator pitch. It helps the interviewer index you to a type, makes life easier for them

Abbott tries to give intuition but in my opinion it's better to read a very rigid book and simply build your own intuition from that
That being said, the motivating sections in each chapter of Abbott are very good and I think a good way to learn analysis might be to read those sections and then go to Rudin

if you have a strong proof basis and experience with undergrad level math i agree with you, but for the vast majority of math students who may not have experience in rigorous math, imo the intuition and readability of abbott should precede the rudin
obv rudin is a great book and the man was a genius educator but i sometimes struggle to understand the intuitive leaps that he makes in his proofs
like i would never think to do some of the stuff that he does
maybe im just stupid 😄 but abbott walks you through that intuition and develops it more i think
