if anything, there's enough votes here to show that stanford really likes rejections and hates deferring people

which is reflected in their deferral letter as well

100%. I'd say if you wanted more representative, easily double the rejection/deferrals to get the acceptance number within range

overall acceptance rates in the ballpark of 5-10% (or worse), just adjust the denominator and scale the rejection/deferrals to match. Of course, this is ED and not overall/RD so all of it is guesswork

although usually its just for new information that you think might have significant weight in your application
