here's my personal take: rejections and deferrals are okay! even though they're scary as fuck and even though if i got rejected in 4 days i'd prolly cry myself to sleep but
statistically speaking many many qualified and excellent people will get deferred. and even more stellar applicants will see themselves rejected off the bat
so it's important to not let whatever result you get impede your next move, because it's a result rooted in probabilities, subjectivity, and just plain luck.

i genuinely believe that everyone who is following this thread, just because you're here, has the potential to excell in all avenues in life, not just academic, but also whatever niches every one of you might have

statistics tells us that many people won't see "accepted" in their portals tomorrow, but i'd still like to say beforehand that: i'm very proud of you guys and wish the best for everyone regardless of whatever happens next.

(except for that one person in my school district i have a bone to pick with. i hope she in particular, and no one else, gets rejected.)

out of the three of us one nyu ed and one cornell ed acceptance

our other friend ended up getting rejected from brown, and then ed2 for pomona which really broke her heart
