this is probably too specific, but I would appreciate any help.
I am taking 4 advanced level (equivalent to AP level courses) and they are chem/bio/math/physics. I have a B in physics advanced subsidary level and A's in the other 3 (at advanced subsidary/junior your maximum grade is an A). I am thinking about doing a combo of premed and engineering (might do chem e or something I make up dk yet).
Since as a senior I'll be very busy lots of people advised me to drop one of them, the issue is I am the least confident in physics and I know that I can get 3A stars in chem/bio/math.
Does stanford engineering value physics as a credit-worthy course more or would they value my overall grades regardless of the subjects I am taking (3A*+A as opposed to 2Astars + A )?
Physics is kind of a wild card for me and a lot of people in my school

from the outside, stanford somehow lacks the competitive bay area high school death-trap vibe
arguably much more than MIT because the nerdy kids that go to MIT tend to specalize in one thing only whereas the nerdy kids that go to stanford typically have motivation and resilience to do something bigger in college

i don't know how accurate this is about MIT but stanford and mit both have really good research programs if you want to at least dabble in academia (there's also a few really good not-really-stanford-but-affiliated ones in Stanford Research Park); both schools have lots of opportunities to work with local companies but the startup/innovation culture is basically a stanford/exclusive

i could glaze SRP any day

judging by ur description in ecs i think stanford is a better fit; stanford's medical stuff is also extremely extremely strong

biotech is also a huge thing here if ur interested in that

i also honestly feel like, all other things equal, stanford likes strong involvement (as long as you have something to show for it) in ecs much more than mit. if that sounds like u, stanford is probably the better choice
