i would honestly say that it is a blend of both. i think in general, even not in regard to northeastern that line between the two is very blurred, but we definitely cover tons of theoretical + applicable concepts

tons of random number theory things and then more computational concepts

it really varies also on what you are specializing in

also i think its important to note that regardless you will get lots of exposure to both, and then can obviously dive into whatever you want to more down the road after your first ish year

like this applies to in general to in the job market Idt you’ll ever find something that’s just math and only math

It’s always like “x engineering job” or “y internship position” that has some big math requirement

also it sounds like you’re looking at comp sci and math combined major so I’m almost sure it’ll be something that uses both and not exclusively math

I doubt it. They specifically say in the other section on the portal that if you change your app category after December 1 that you need to contact them directly. Plus, even if someone changes their app category it likely won’t change the decision. So if someone who’s ed-ing changes to ea, their info just gets lumped in to the rest of the ea applicants later on. They probably have the form up still because they want to leave it open for people to move to ea, ed2, or rd. Not necessarily people moving into ed. that’s already passed.
