I belive I will be getting a D in my second semester senior(highschool) year honors physics class, and im not sure if i can make it up in time. I will still be graduating, Im a california resident and my gpa is a 4.21-4.23, and my Junior year GPA was a 4.6 weighted. My other senior grades arent the best too but im planning on brinign AP Gov to a B, and will try my best for statistics(C). Our school does not provide unweighted but I would estimate it to be a 3.7-3.8. I applied undeclared physical science and I am an indian student who lives in the bay area. BY the chance i get in, will my offer be rescinded because of my crappy grades. Ive been sick and its been hard to catch up with work. For comparison, I got into UIUC for the ischool.

Effectively when your grades are under a C, they will provisionally rescind you

But they’ll give you time to appeal, which is where extenuating circumstances or whatever your reason for your grades comes into play

At which point a committee will review your appeal, and decide if they’ll reverse the rescission

However you don’t don’t appeal that provisional rescission becomes formal

There’s a key difference between CSU and UC funding

Think about where public universities get their funding. It’s from a bunch of pots. Tuition, state money (taxes), research, other ventures (so like with the UCs, healthcare is huge here)

The CSUs are very reliant on state money

The UCs are very, well, not

Therefore

The proposed general fund allocations for 2025-26, which yes, do include cuts to CSUs and UCs

Will have very different levels of impact.
