Note, the Honors Program doesn't manage Housing assignments, URSP, Admissions decisions / visitation events, or financial aid / scholarships. We are sunsetting the First Year Honors Program / University Honors Program distinctions which have been confusing to students. This is just a language change. We're going back to where it's all called one big University Honors Program, with Milestones that students need to complete by certain deadlines to earn their Honors Medallion at graduation. ADMISSIONS DECISIONS COME OUT NO EARLIER THAN 6PM EST. THE OFFICE OF ADMISSIONS WILL BE CLOSED AT THE TIME DECISIONS DROP. ALL CALLS AFTER HOURS GET HANDLED ON MONDAY WHEN THE OFFICE OPENS.
PLEASE do not call the Office of Admissions to get your decision early. The people answering can’t see anything early. Please don’t yell at them, please don’t cry, please don’t beg.
PLEASE, for your own mental health, don’t keep clicking refresh on your page any time earlier than 5:55pm EST. I say 5:55 not because that’s the magic drop but because some computers are slower and decisions drop usually right at 6pm. If you’ve got a Mac, you can change your time to show seconds in addition to your hours in minutes. But don’t refresh forever. This isn’t a virtual queue or a Taylor Swift Concert, this is admissions to a school that is literally known for raining at unannounced times. Not kidding. You’ll be fine.

if you have an AA or enough DE credits they usually even give you the option to come in as a transfer right out of high school if you get rejected
and honestly it's the same thing... you can live in the same dorms, take the same classes you would have, same college experience
and you get to skip some dumb classes if you have an AA
