But after further research it’s a great school

im waitlisted from amherst and rn commited to UCB, ik you cant go wrong, but if im you im picking amherst

if you can afford the extra 7k per year go for amherst but remember that law school is also expensive so if cost is significant i wouldn't choose that
fyi im also a pre law who was deciding between ucla and berkeley and students at both told me that if you have a solid gpa and lsat you're pretty much guaranteed to get into their respective law schools. if you don't want to pay extra for amherst, i'd go with berkeley since both their poli sci programs and law school is amazing (although it is cutthroat yes but i've heard thats primarily for stem majors)
