Michigan Pros:
- School atmosphere seemed more spirited when i visited
-good football team - unique program (college of climate and space sciences and engineering)
-colors
-had such a great experience in my visit, got to test something with an undergrad researcher on a boat
-amazing alumni connections
-felt like home when i toured
Michigan Cons:
-i haven’t been accepted (i’m delulu i know)
- not as good for aerospace as purdue
-cost (i’m not paying but i don’t want to make my parents pay twice as much)
Purdue
Purdue Pros:
- #3 undergrad aerospace engineering
- i’m in honors college
-we might be moving to indiana for my dads work?
-i got a free t-shirt
-someone has already asked to be my roommate
Purdue Cons:
-ugly colors
-not a great location, i’m from the bay area so much more used to nature and cities and ocean and mountains all in my backyard
-barely any football, plus all the engineering students made fun of anyone else who watched athletics when i toured
-didn’t have the “this is home” feeling when i visited
Tiebreaking considerations:
- If i heard more stories of purdue having good school spirit and support, it feels like i deciding between having a good school experience and having a good life experience
-lgbtq acceptance and community
-Someone just tell me to go to purdue please
