location/region: urban city/suburban with room for exploring, currently living in texas and hoping to escape the hot/humid environment season-round. i adore new england fall/winter and the north coast as a whole

major: largely computer science and cognitive science centric, theoretical/practical creative cs curriculum with interdisciplinary humanities/medical/social justice studies (i.e neuroscience, psychology, philosophy, public health, biotechnology)

GPA/test scores: 3.98 weighted, 4.8 weighted, 1550 sat (can send more comprehensive stats in DM)

curriculum: focusing on human-computer interactions, brain-computer interfaces, exploring quantum computing, ethics

size: small/midsized

costs: will need aid (<$70,000 bracket), actively looking for scholarships and hoping to get need-based and merit aid

current list: mit, uchicago, stanford, cmu, harvey mudd, cornell, nyu, ut austin, columbia/barnard, university of washington, uc berkeley

additional: i hope to get involved with undergrad research, study abroad and getting to know a bunch of other talented people in their respects, have good conversations, and enjoy overcast/atmospheric weather. bonus points if the architecture is good

I would strongly recommend Rice, it has a strong CS dept and a longstanding strong cog sci major that is well integrated across multiple departments. BioE is fairly strong with connections to NASA JSC Human Factors and any institution in the Texas Medical Center.
