i'm planning to go into CS and applied to UIUC ed but got in through my alternate major for engineering undeclared. do i stick w UIUC for engineering and try to transfer later in the year/do a double major or CS minor? or should i go to some other college for CS???

if u really wanna do cs then u should prolly stick with purdue or UMD. you can't switch to cs at UIUC but you can switch into a cs + x, but I don't know how hard that is, and it's obviously not a guarentee

You cannot do a pure CS degree at uiuc if you didn't get in for it, but CS + X is fair game

I'd say to go to Purdue since you got your actual major, and plus since its part of enginering you can take advantage of some of those opportunities at Purdue https://engineering.purdue.edu/Engr/Academics/Schools

As far a i know to switch to CS in UIUC Grainger enigneering its not possible
