• vancouver might feel more relaxed than toronto?

- very slightly lower than UofT in rankings

School 2 Pros:

- Toronto city is nice
- ranked as the best university in Canada
- a relative lives there who'll be willing to get me a car for free

School 2 Cons:

• heard UofT is very brutal in terms of academic stress and pressure
• toronto is cold

will go for grad school later

What career are you looking to go into?

The rankings aren't very accurate for Canadian schools as they're primarily based on research and things you wouldn't consider for undergrad.

It doesn't have good placement in IB.

Ivey or Queens is your best bet

You usually do that after getting a job and working for a few years though.

Otherwise there's no benefit to it

I'm not sure if I can get into Ivey or queens

I'm not at my PC rn so I'm not able to check my school's admit stats for certain unis

I asked for ubc and UofT because looking at the people from my school they got into those schools a hefty number of them got in with relatively low gpas

I'm a junior so I'm not applying yet but I think I have a realistic chance for ubc and UofT

I am leaning more towards UofT because being in Toronto probably has better connections than Vancouver because it's a bigger city

but I'm very worried about the academic pressure for UofT

I'm hearing many people say UofT academics are brutal and a lot of people end up dropping out

It isn't brutal for business.

UBC is better if you can get into their investment banking program but only 6 people get in per yead

IB is a very small niche in finance

pretty small minded to just assume that just bcos it doesn’t place well into IB, they can’t place into finance well

It's difficult to get internships comparatively to other schools there from the school.
