Location/Region: Preferrably east coast or at least east of Mississippi River. Don’t want too far away. I’m trying to get out FL tho so no suggestions there. I enjoy my winters a tad more than my summers.
Suburb and college town is best. City and rural is manageable as long as it’s safe (for urban) and not completely isolated (for rural). -
Major: CS for a major, possibly web development or cybersecurity to hone it in. Really enjoy foreign languages and may minor in Slavic studies, possibly even major if I find out I enjoy it that much.
-
GPA/Test Scores: 3.92UW / 4.47W
34 ACT if superscored, 31 if no superscore. -
Curriculum: I’m open to anything. I do enjoy faculty student relations though and more flexible curriculum for change
-
Size: Eh don’t care.
-
Costs: About ~30k a year is realistically my limit. Send all schools you think of though. Many top schools are great with aid.
-
Schools You're Currently Looking At: Right now looking at Duke, Vandy, Cornell, GaTech, UNC, UPenn, all instate FL schools. UChicago
-
Additional: Want a good mix of social and academics, I mean it too. Not a fan of Greek life but also not a fan of an introverted lifestyle. Don’t let stereotypes hold back suggestions though. Duke is known as a frat school but it’s my #1 regardless.

yay for Duke, from the title of your post, I was going to mention that you might be interested in CS + Linguistics programs that use language knowledge/bilingualism/brain processing to do stuff like cybersecurity for code busting, you can see sample coursework here https://cs.duke.edu/undergraduate/degrees/IDM/linguistics
also yeah even though a big part of party life is through frat life at Duke, there are so many other communities and activities that people are a part of, I love Duke and participating in clubs and going to other events like basketball games and I haven't gone to a single frat party or feel like I've missed out because of it.
Yale also has a cool CS + linguistics program.
In recent years, we have been witnessing exciting advances in the intersection of computing and linguistics, as well as growing interest in these disciplines among undergraduate students at Duke. We are happy to offer an inter-departmental major (IDM) that allows students to pursue their joint interests in Computer Science and Linguistics. Thi...
