#Advice on current schools and others to consider

  • Location/Region: Ideally within a couple states of Ohio(where I live), and a city or suburb campus would be nice

  • Major: Computer science, with a potential minor in data science

  • GPA/Test Scores: 3.68 UW and 4.23 W, currently have a 28 ACT, taking the next one with a goal of around 30

  • Curriculum: Nothing in particular

  • Size: I’d love to go to a pretty big school, with maybe around 15,000 at a minimum

  • Costs: $40,000 is my maximum, I don’t qualify for a large amount of financial aid

  • Schools You're Currently Looking At: Ohio State is my top choice, others I’m looking at are Wisconsin, Purdue, UCincinnati, Miami Ohio, Penn State, and Indiana.

If my next ACT goes very well, I was considering applying to Michigan and Illinois as reach schools

  • Additional: I’d love to go to Ohio State, but I understand my academics are a bit below average, so I was hoping to get some recommendations and advice on other schools or some that I mentioned, thanks :)

Purdue is honestly going to be more of a reach than OSU for you. Other schools I would look into include University of Pittsburgh, Cleveland State, University of Toledo, UT Knoxville, Wright State, University of Dayton, Kent State, Bowling Green, John Carroll

cwru would be a good reach but its not that big of a school :((
