you should have hope, because if you consider yourself cracked in anyway, or even if you know you're impressive, but just naturally deal with confidence issues, im the same way. I'm the same way and after my EA deferrals I was at a self-esteem low, and this news hits me when I least expect it. If you do your best you will end up somewhere, I know I still have a LOT more decisions coming, but the fact that I get into WashU despite it not being super high on my list shows how random schools on your list might take you when you don't expect, further proving that no matter what, you will find somewhere. WashU could very well end up being the school I attend :D

even if WashU doesnt take you, you'll be set

and ED rates are pretty forgiving, so if you really show your best sides of you i think you could very well get in :D

i go to a very competitve school in a very competitive district

in terms of academics, there are handfuls of kids in my grade that are just- better, i was very low self esteem because some people I just couldn't catch up to. i didnt join that extracurricular rat race, or do competitions, o rall these conventionalyl cracked ec's. i did things i enjoyed and that were important to me, and that's how its been paying off and I've been cracked in my own regard.

be yourself. like 1000% yourself, not even for a little bit what colleges want to see, and it will work out, and if it doesn't, you benefit for staying true to yourself

so just hold onto your morals and who you are and to some capacity it'll work out. I got a likely letter when I never in a million years thought I would. I was like- why me when there are so many ppl at my school smarter than me? but they dont want the smartest kids, they want the smartest kids that are genuine to what they wanna do, not the kids who think they can cheese the college app process. or at the least, up until this summer I was litearlly planning on what state school i was gonna go to (which is 100% valid, but i mean it as a testament of like I was not confident at all and just doing things i vibed with)
