like you got people there who come from dirt poor backgrounds who are just happy that they have the opportunity to go to college, you have people who are just naturally humble or quiet or shy, you have those people who are extremely preppy but barely any of them are actually preppy in the "rude" way

I'd say overall it's a pretty well balance college, mostly because it's a public school

In College Comp I we had a vocab quiz (idk why we are doing vocab in college comp smh) due very week and an essay or journal due every 2 weeks. It was structured, not even really "structured" just had due dates consistently

Now in College Comp II we have had like 5 assignments so far and he put all our journals into one big assignment due at the end of march or sum and then our first essay isint' due until March 3rd

In your region, whoever made it over you could have possibly been:
A. Rejected by UVA or
B. They committed somewhere else and informed the foundation
