It's about 30% admissions and you need a 3.8 GPA, do well on the WSA test, have some good ECs. But there's no limit on the number of times you can apply. The prereqs are brutal though I'm taking ACCTG 215 and MGMT 200, both weed outs this quarter and it was p brutal but i should end with a 3.8 or higher in both classes (basically top 20 of 160 students in both classes).

For my INFO class, there is about 120 of 700 (meaning 120 were accepted FDA, and 700 were accepted Pre-Sciences of those that applied to INFO)
For Business, 200-300ish of 1500 (meaning 200-300 accepted FDA, and 1500 total accepted Pre Business or whatever the name is)

They really dislike people trying to apply into UWS from satellite campuses and the chance of you getting into UWS is very minimal. It's recommended to go to Bellevue College or a similar CC then transfer instead of from UWT

That's always a possibility. I recommend reaching out to ANY connections you might have with alumni/faculty that can help strengthen your application. If you are first-gen or anything along those lines there are also several diversity offices that you can try and cold-email, share your passion for UW and ask to receive help from someone and I'm sure someone would be happy to help you. It happens every year

Their average is a 3.7 but your GPA is the majority component they look at when deciding to admit or deny you.

Reach out and ask them! Tell them your situation and that you really want to go to UW, but that you need help appealing your decision. They can either help you with the process. If they can't, ask them if they know people to redirect you who may be able to help.

As an FDA you basically get access to that school's resources right away. So as an INFO student I get to go to career fairs, get access to their career center, access to their scholarships that only people like me (INFO) get to apply to, etc.

For registration there are a number of classes that are only available to people from your major during the "first period"

If you got into CS, go. Some of the brightest literally get 200k+ starting salaries right out of graduation (obviously not the case for the majority, but there's potential). Right now the market is a little brutal but it'll even out by the time y'all graduate college.

We're right next to some of the biggest tech companies in the world, so you're bound to find something.

That's an iffy questoin. It's possible, the question is if you want to make that change. I'd suggest trying to take a neuro class if you can to try it out. There are some big differences regarding how labs happen, course loads etc and getting into either major is hard so I wouldn't make any fast decisions

I think that if you have biochem right now, hold onto it until you're absolutely sure you don't want it, because reapplying would be a disaster, and they'd be like "why did you drop our major in the first place?" your application would essentially get extra scrutiny on top of the already-brutal admissions process

If you apply into INFO and get in, yes. But you might want to hold onto your engineering degree as a "just in case" and "double degree." you can always opt out of a degree once you're 100% sure you don't want it, but re-adding is bad

You only get two chances to apply to INFO, I really recommend taking INFO 200/201 and upper divisions if possible before applying to show you are really interested. That's usually pivotal to applications

If you're taken off the waitlist, you will be accepted as a premajor, and you'll need to apply to your major. Spots that are taken by waitlisted students are typically spots that the university still has available.

My guess is that this year, fewer spots will be open because the expected matriculating class is only 7100, and ours was a couple thousand greater.
