well from what i’ve heard (take it with a grain of salt bc i might not be correct), they waitlisted a lot of students this year because they can’t predict their yield rate due to fafsa so they can’t tell who will actually enroll and who wouldn’t based off of price

so they basically draw people from their waitlist pool to fill those spots up

Check their yield. Idk some berk students might have the data that u need. Some schools gave the exact number they admitted this year with the exact number they expect to have in their class this year. And using the avg yield rate, u can get a rough estimate as to whether they did or did not over admit.

But again this yield rate flunctuatsz so much so getting exact is tough
