Most interviewers ive talked to said the few ppl they gave the highest rating to all got rejected. I never said he wasn’t; clearly he is and he more than deserved it. I was just seeing the 3.8 GPA, the 3 on Euro, and not much achievement outside of the (v impressive) research and FBLA. I can't be definite but mostly yes, since the interviews are based on nationaly and availability of the alums and place, it will be very hard for people in the gulf to get an interview from ivies. You can email the uni directly and request for an interview and doubts but mostly they just say its optional from my experience.
