idk in my experience everyone I’ve met through my bf at uf has been incredibly down to earth and kind, but ofc everyone’s experience is different. you kind elitist snobs just about anywhere to be fair, and from what I know you don’t have to be involved in greek life to have fun at uf. It all comes down to what you like though and what you prioritize in a school, even tho UF and FSU are similar in a lot of ways they still have different experiences for different people and that’s okay ❤️
TBH I think clubbing and regular house parties are a lot more common than frat parties at UF
also I just checked and the same % of students at uf and fsu are a part of Greek life (like marginally different by 1% but you get my point)

everyone will have a different experience everywhere no matter where you go, its all about who you surround yourself with. my bf’s social circle does not involve greek life at all nor do they every feel pressured to party etc., and its all very relaxed
uf is very large and has an endless amount of student orgs and you will always find people that have the same interests as you. it will only feel like everyone is miserable if you surround yourself with that. these reddit comments are just personal statements and should be taken with a grain of salt

Everything is super new. The rooms themselves are great. Everything feels new and the temp control is good. My friend showed me the double he lives in and it has a nice bathroom with a shower and everything
The quality of the rooms is very similar to infinity hall IMO (my bf lives in infinity hall) which makes since because infinity is very new + used to be the honors dorm
The differences are the common areas and the location
The honors village is very central on campus whereas infinity is a solid 10+ minute walk from more things
And then the honors village also has insane common areas. Each floor has a full kitchen (oven, stove top, microwave, and sink if my memory is correct) plus a huge table space to eat with friends or do whatever lol
and then on the lowest level there are a TONNNNN of study rooms, like I mean a ton. I lost count
They all have brand new tvs and tables in them

We don’t admit based on if you say summer or fall, the decision of where to place you starting happens after the acceptance decisions are already made and they divvy it out from there. If you put summer on your app you can start either summer or fall. The only difference that matters is when you take summer hours, I was admitted fall so took 6 of my 9 required summer hours this past summer
Cause campus is dead and also people apply summer because they can knock out 6/9 summer hours early and acclimate to campus before everyone else comes back
