nc state and UNC have a joint bme program, NC state is really awesome for having a positive engineering experience, unc and duke are good for premed opportunities (in theory) although like you can easily find clinics and stuff to volunteer at close to NC state in raleigh too

- try to have a few themes in your application (your major, an extracurricular, your identity, whatever they are), and emphasize them in every part of your app
- try to be personal and specific in your essays. like for why duke make the AOs picture what you'd do on campus and why

so I live about an hour and a half from Duke and I’ve been lucky enough to go up there and spend a lot of time on campus when I have a teacher workday off school or a long weekend just because I love spending time up there in the Duke Forest in the gardens, and just on campus in general. Duke also has a bioelectricity concentration in their biomedical engineering major which I’m extremely interested in because my goal is to do cardiology or cardiothoracic surgery.
Sorry, this is a lot of background
but I think both those aspects of the environment and the curriculum that’s almost tailored to exactly exactly I want to do, do you think I should talk about both of those or choose one for my Duke essay
