intls are usually the last cohort to get those benefits. UChicago is already need-blind to domestic students. So if they do get a lot more funding, it's possible that they also start using need-blind policy for intls. (Altho the num is still small)

Brown will be going need-blind for intls starting next year application cycle. I think they are confident about their endowment now.

i feel like, to the university, they only give you a full ride if you provide some value no full pay student can. since its international, and most full pay students have exceptional opportunities and resources, it gets highly difficult for FGLI internationals to stand out and get in. to the university, all of this is, at the end of the day, a business and a trade. if they cant get more value out of you being there, than how much they would have to spend out of their pockets, they arent going to admit you
