I am so thrilled that you asked, @ionic hearth! PE 1104 is the greatest physical education class that Cornell has to offer. Specifically, PE 1104 is Swimming Conditioning, and I take the course instructed by Cornell Boys Varsity assistant coach Jacob Licter. To sum up the course, my lord Jake enscribes his precious workouts onto the blackboards before we arrive at the sacred grounds every day. To stay in prime shape, we swim arduous laps, back and forth through the cold watered pool, numerous times throughout the 45 minute instruction, following the divine workout blessed to us on the blackboards by lord Jake. It is an incredible course that has been given to us by our Saint, Martha, and that I would recommend to anyone who wants to take a free and fun PE course, and also has swimming experience.

I think it's pretty easy to tell how well-off someone is through their essays and the way they write parts of their application so while Cornell separates their financial aid and admissions office, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a little bit of unconscious bias, but I think they would do their best to combat that

Q: Anyone got any idea what a cornell alumni interview/conversation actually means and what to expect? I just had my conversation yesterday and overall everything went great, learned a lot from asking lots of questions (the alumni didn't ask me anything tho, practically js selling cornell to me). weirdly, about a month ago, one of my friends got a very similar email about an opportunity for an interview/conversation, but as opposed to a laxed informative session that i got, his interviewer lit ripped his soul apart, asking insane questions into why us/why major/etc.. while some other ppl in my school didn't even receive any interview/conversation emails. So does it mean anything? Attributing these simply to availability don't seem to make sense to me if theres different types of interviews.

id have to have context of your school
i go to a smaller school so its a lot easier to start a club than in some other schools
i have like 1.1k-1.2k ppl total in my school

yea mine's too. So, i want to start a finance club, but we already have an econ club (and they also do some finance related stuff there). However, i still think of starting a club and name it like "Discover finance" or something like that, to show students career opportunities in finance sphere, do some metting with people that in finance and maybe prepare students for internships (idk about this one tho).

there was an econ club but i made mine retail club
so it was kinda focused on dropshipping and reselling and that sorta stuff
i just had to brand it differently, and they allowed it to pass through
for my school, you just have to make a club name and say what u gonna do there and the school has to approve it (basically 99% get approved lol)
so for your school, as long as your club has a unique purpose that other clubs dont have you should be able to prove yourself a spot

im not doing this by myself tho, i have a very close friend (a junior), so i want to kinda help him out a lil bit with his ec's (he also wants to apply to a finance major) , cuz he has only recently discovered that he wants to apply to us (he obviously isn;t aiming to top unis, he just wants to leave this country and his parents are mad rich, so he can afford any uni). On top of that, i thought this club would be a great opportunity for me to research this sphere (cuz i need to prepare for the lessons in this club) and just tell students that there are other opportunities besides CS and programming.
