I'm currently trying to decide between UCF Spring 2024 Admission and the UF Gator Engineering Program. I'm will be a CS major, and I am interested in machine learning, deep learning, AI, and ultimately starting my own company. For UCF, I've been accepted for spring admission, and I plan on taking 11 credits worth of classes in the fall at a community college as that's the limit they allow. For UF, I got in through gator engineering at santa Fe program, and I'll be attending Santa Fe College for 1.5 years while taking some of the class and then becoming a UF student. If you would have asked me a year ago, i would have said ucf. However, ucf took 6 months to give me my admission and waitlist me just to get into spring. So I don't know what to pick. I have read a lot about both schools and I don't know what to pick.

Here are some pros and cons I've been considering for each option:

UCF Spring Admission Pros:
I will start college 3 months later, so it's a pro and con
Smaller class sizes during the spring semester
Closer to home for me
I can work through this time
location. Orlando is better for internships

UCF Spring Admission Cons:
Limited options for classes in the fall semester
May miss out on campus activities and events that occur during the fall semester
it will delay my gradation, internships, and more
will cost 200 deposit fee

UF Gator Engineering Program at Santa Fe Pros:
Guaranteed admission into UF after 1.5 years
UF name recognition
Strong engineering program at  UF
cheaper
I will be on track, and I can do internships in the summer in Orlando

UF Gator Engineering Program at Santa Fe Cons:
Gainesville is in the middle of nowhere
Have to commute to Santa Fe College, which is around 30 minutes away from UF
Can dual major until I get into uf
no deposit fee
