ucsd
pros:

  • weather, prestige (kinda), cali, research opportunities, fav campus layout (of the 3), cool students

cons:

  • no aid. oos tuition. ~62k a year. uc socially dead.

tiebreakers: i have a super low efc & have to minimize debt. i desperately need to leave my state.

i could transfer, ideally would go to a uc but finaid prob wouldnt change (could test luck w other schools? pessimistic given this year)

i worked so so so hard to avoid the exact situation that i'm in rn! hahahaha ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ’• thank u and lmk ur thoughts

i would probably say go for the cheaper option in my opinion because 60k is not really worth it but if you really want that out of state experience then go for it. but i think you could get those same experiences, making friends, opportunities at the cheaper school. but yeah weather can be a big factor in your decision too
