I think why OP was saying Madison is that Madison is a very well rounded school. If you have ever visited you'll see that it's very well integrated into the city of Madison. If you're an international Madison is also a bit easier to integrate into because there's nicer faculties (the city is beautiful) and it's safer. Pitt and CMU have been having safety problems recently.

Pitt is fire for premed but you're right that a lot of people change their minds about premed and their major. I think Madison would be great however I'd go to UW Madison's channel on here and ask about pre med opportunities. Madison is huge, I'm sure there has to be something. Undergrads would know.

Oh hold on. I would advise against debt honestly as an international. You will have a hard time with that much debt and also the stress of finding a job.

okay so as you scroll the sidebar, you should see #1050620654485000213

#

from there at the top you will see a search bar. Type in Madison, and it should lead you to UW Madison's channel, and you can do this for any school you're debating on

#

generally there's quite a few undergrads in each channel who were previous A2Cers so they can help you

With Premed I would not say the prestige of the school matters as much. If you do well GPA wise, well on the MCAT, and grind on extracurriculars, you will do amazing for med school admissions. I would rather take on the debt for med school (which would be a lot mind you) then as an undergrad because it can backfire.

I know Umass has a in-school Medical School, so if you are looking for a cheaper option I would consider Amherst as well.

Amherst also has decent business as well and a fire chem department, so if you're considering other majors it may be a win.
