Similarities:
. Similar cost (Although Buffalo has $5k/year scholarship)
. Like both campuses, and was accepted into honors program for both schools
Binghamton Pros:
. Smaller school
- More personalized honors program and advisors
- Easier to navigate and manage, from smaller high school
- Shares SUNY programs, not limited
. Lower acceptance rate - Motivated students outside of honors, more prestige
. Nicer honors dorms and much closer to home
Binghamton Cons:
. Not much opportunity in city
- Unlikely to stay in Binghamton after graduating
- Less opportunity for community involvement, and less hospitals to shadow or intern
. Not as many majors if I change career path
Buffalo Pros:
. Larger school
- More research opportunities, clubs, and school organizations
- More classes and majors to explore fields and interests, and there's a medical campus
. Larger and more lively city - Museums, festivals, community organizations, and more hospitals
- More likely to stay in Buffalo after graduating
. Strong STEM programs (Curriculum seems to be more structured)
. Some family in Buffalo, can take train from home, and more dining options
Buffalo Cons:
. Large school is overwhelming
- Less personalized help that I'll need in which I lack social skills to make connections
. Higher acceptance rate - Less prestige, and likely less motivated students
. Dorms not as nice
