hi. I’m pretty sure I’m choosing Michigan, but my family and friends are all advocating for each of these schools pretty hard and it’s making it difficult.
cost no longer a huge issue--my extended family wants to support me--but I would rather have the price be lower. this would make the "gifting" process easier, since we'd be doing some weird but legal maneuvers to get out of FAFSA screwing us for this.
Macalester is only 14k/yr. Michigan is 45k. UW is in the 50-60k range. year 3 and 4 will be lower costs because my mom is unemployed now and not getting another job.
my problem is that each school satisfies some needs very well and others not so well.
I am interested in Psychology primarily but also art, polisci, and neuro. I want to be able to maintain a variety of interests.

Pros:
-special to my family
-incredible career prospects
-elite for psych (top 2 or 3, tied with Harvard and below Stanford)
-Midwest
-fan of the area
-school spirit
-massive sports fan!
-very interdisciplinary
-I DONT HAVE TO TAKE CALCULUS !! i love statistics !!
Cons:
-absolutely massive
-afraid i won't be able to stand out. i've always been the top of my class.
-idk how I feel about classes with hundreds of people. I come from a class of 35.
-may not get honors or scholarship $$
