School 1 Pros:

  • cheaper

School 1 Cons:

  • overcrowded
    -horrible dorms
    -hard to get classes
  • lower rank
  • harder to get internships
  • harder to break into quant (an interest of mine)
  • harder to minor in some of my interests? (math/ finance/ stats)

School 2 Pros:

  • higher rank
  • good dorm food?
  • i love the social scene and lots of greek life
  • quant recruitment
  • easier to get internships
  • easy to minor

School 2 Cons:

  • 30k a year more ( i would take out a total of 40-50k in loans over the 4 years)

Tiebreaking considerations:

  • ability to get internships (purely as an investment towards my first job)
    -social life (how dead is purdue) greek life?
    -toxicity?
    how bad are purdue dorms and food like fr
    PLS HELP IDK HOW THIS HAPPENED I LITERALLY PUT UIUC 27 in my bio this morning

UIUC CS easily. Purdues campus sucks and although Urbana is also kind of in the middle of no where, it’s definitely not as dead as West Lafayette.
