SO im oos UW and in state vt but got a $25k scholarship for uw so theyre essentially equivalent COA.
As a cs major the choice seems obvious but kinda stuck with parents.
I'm coming from what's best for my career which is UW in almost every metric. I also hate va techs CS ccourse work cuz i hv to do gen eng.
My dad is purely on affordabilitiy which we are waiting to see sub loans which can help us pay the rest out of pocket (9k efc for context)
My mom is thinking baout me as a person. I've struggled with mental helth in the past and she thinks I'd have more support here (close to friends and family cuz I live in VA) but I've never had problems making friends or being alone: I've moved about 5 times in 4 different countries and havnt been with my whole family for longer than a month since I was 7, so I think shes just worrying a bit too much or just wants me to be close.
Please let me know your thoughts as I kinda just want perspectives yk.
