State schools dont rlly give out full rides so keep that in mind
Boston College is nice but the engineering program isnβt particularly strong
Maybe UMich
But i dont think they get summers lol
I think rice has strong engineering but it has no winter
Gpa is ridiculously unimportant in college admissions
As long as your taking hard classes and have mostly As with a couple Bs, your grades wont rlly matter
Also, GTech is just as competitive if not more so
this is not true
especially for schools that only do unweighted
most colleges just calculate ur gpa according to their own system
also academics are a bench mark
that's true
but for unweighted colleges it's usually the same
lol ur fucking trolling
if you dont have >3.8 uw ur not getting into anything good for engineering
Are YOU trolling?
A good gpa is important, but u definitely dont need a 3.9 or 4.0
With holistic admissions, if you have like a 3.6 but insane awards and ecs, thats perfectly fine
Or if u have like a 3.6 in all aps but a 1600 ur fine
i mean assuming regular ppl
most ppl don't have insane ecs or awards
it's easier to get a 3.9 imo
see ur still pointing at other insane stats to make up for the gpa deficit
just get a good gpa is best
Yea obviously getting a good gpa is important
But its not the be all end all
Also this dudes asking for school recommendations not a gpa discussion ππ
he mentioned it
don't think it's specifically off topic
im transferring first year
and i was accepted
so i mean just regular
uw madison
is my other rec
it's pretty decent for engineering
and it's duable
it has decent aid too
there are a few others too
like
UCSD
which state are you in again
i mean you could always try
but
also UIUC
uiuc the goat engineering school
or ASU
