So I'm an international student, the comparison is between BSc Molecular Biology from University of Guelph (494), BSc Biotechnology joint degree from UBC (43) and BCIT(1314) and Monash University (37) BSc Hons research.

Pros of University of Guelph - I'll directly be in the program no common BSc year, co-op, has great reputation for agricultural Biology so I can get good projects and internships, mainly a science school only so small classes, very cheap as compared to the other option, awesome food, cheap rent as well, greater chances of winning the scholarship making it even cheaper

Pros of UBC plus BCIT- common BSc year but I can get biotechnology easily as the other college is quite far so most people don't opt for it, awesome ranking, co-op, bcit is known for almost full placement after bsc biotech, in BC so more opportunities, very less chance of winning scholarship even with scholarship it's expensive, ranking ranking ranking

Pros of Monash University - from what I've heard it's regarded as an ivy of Australia, 3 years study and 1 year solely for research, awesome professors, common BSc year, crazy expensive but cheaper than the 2nd option and if I get a scholarship the whole tuition fee is waved off, can get internships easily sur to its reputation, no co-op but I can work with professors part time, cheaper than all other but living costs and rent are the highest so almost equal to UBC in terms of budget, ranking ranking ranking

I'll anyway have to take a loan unless I get tuition fee waved off as said in the third option.

My major expectations with colleges is hands-on experience in research with professors and internships. I don't really care about the weather or food or anything because I live in India and there I've lived in different types of climates all my life
