i am in state for NJ
Location/Region/Campus:

  • city/urban/suburban
  • must have things to do on and off campus (trying to live my life w/o strict parents yk)
  • i prefer to experience all seasons (not too cold or rainy tho)
  • i'm not very fond of california or the south
    **Major: **CS
    GPA/Test Scores: 4.0 UW, top ~10% weighted GPA, 1550 SAT (750 english, 800 math)
Curriculum: rigorous-ish so i can learn a lot and get a good job (but not SO rigorous that i want to drop out lol)
Size: undergrad population 7k+ (medium-large school)
Costs: merit aid would be nice but not an issue
Schools you're currently looking at: Rutgers NB (safety?), UIUC (reach), UMD (target?), Purdue (reach), UMich (reach?)
    Additional:
  • umich legacy, sibling goes to uiuc
  • looking for a mix of private & public schools
  • (when i visited in the summer) purdue seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, umich campus felt too big, i really liked the hustle and bustle of case western, i liked the uiuc campus the best (but i spent the most time there so i got to know it better)
  • school spirit would be nice but i don't care too much abt sports
  • will have 10 APs by end of senior yr
  • i have okay ecs (cs related + community service and stuff) but they're not the strongest compared to other cs ppl i see (from school and online) so im not confident abt them
