similarities: they're both close to home, they both have good psychology programs and i like the vibe at both schools
ut austin
pros:
- psych program is (slightly) better
- more prestigious; it might be easier to get a job when i leave the state after college
- my friends are going
- austin is a great city and there's a lot to do
cons:
- housing is really expensive
- i have no scholarships
- i got offered the cap program, which isn't as good as full admission. basically i'd have to go to another ut school for a year and then transfer over. i wouldn't have automatic acceptance into psychology, and idk how competitive it even is
texas a&m
pros:
- i have a scholarship for 6k a year
- housing is a lot less expensive
- aggie network can make it easier to get jobs sometimes
- i have full admission so i'd get to go for all 4 years
cons:
- the school isnt really diverse
- psych program isn't as good (but still good)
