maybe im on my own in this opinion but i refuse to believe that they'll actively change admissions decisions after they've been made before release date. ppl getting off the waitlist is an anomaly in it of itself for all these top schools. I think at a certain point withdrawing does help but when decisions are two weeks away there's not a whole lot of time for a school to say oh one more spot just popped up.
