Yeah, my school had actually emailed both the Caltech and MIT AOs asking about that on my behalf. The Caltech AO sent a lengthy response basically saying that it's rare for a student graduating early to get in but does happen in special circumstances. The MIT AO gave a pretty short response basically saying that if I felt that I was a competitive applicant, I should apply and that it was not an uncommon thing.
