I have a wide range of admit, reject, and WL people from diff demographics and populations to be able to get a pretty accurate understanding of what's going on

if a school says they will never defer, and then that school also doesn't make decisions with the quality of its full app pool in mind, they are gonna be forced to dump qualified applicants when their line of best fit for the qualifying stats turns out to be too low and over admits
