I wanna be experience many different kinds of people but also be in classes where i can build relations with the prof

Costs: <50k per year? I'd like some aid lol who wouldnt

Additional: Profs should teach undergrad classes > grad students
Many research opportunities for undergrads

Colleges:
Safeties: Purdue, Arizona Statue University, Northern Arizona University, University of Illinois
Target: Stony Brook, Texas A&M, UT Austin
Reach: UCs, carnegie Mellon, Georgia Tech

I wanna have a better idea of the chances I have in my targets and reaches and also expand my list to include more targets and reaches.

Very solid list

#

For your EC's, you should really not include NHS.. With the amount of service hrs u have, you definitely qualify for the presidents volunteer service award (administered by the white house). Look for some organizations that offer the PVSA certificate, you just log your hours and get a paper signed by the president

by u of i, do u mean uiuc? because their cs/engineering is by no means a safety. Purdue is fairly competitive as well

#

also, if you're interested in uc's I'd do more research on each individual uc's and their rankings since they do vary

# spring spear im in az btw

University of Illinois is only competitive for stem, their CS acceptance rate is 6.8% as reported on their website, so not a safety

#

UT Austin is a reach too

#

According to Texas law, UT Austin can only allow 8% of their incoming students be from out of state

#

Acceptance rate for cs there might be around 1 or 2

@warm hollow @humble pumice

really helpful, i didnt think to look at more specific to major admission rates, this makes a bunch of those top engineering schools reaches which makes much more sense lol

even further establishes that i need good targets
