#Full sail university worth or not?

never heard of it before, but if you are interested in game design, I highly recommend putting USC on your list
@acoustic veldt it's for profit, so I'd say avoid. for profit colleges are highly predatory and usually complete scams
it's also not regionally accredited which means that if you end up transferring out other schools won't consider your classes as valid
so def avoid
they make people go in debt quickly too
why would you choose a for profit university though? Are you an International student?
Yes
in that case if you're mostly looking for the visa, just make sure they are not gonna rip you off with too high of tuition
there are plenty offering at lower costs so def compare
I am getting a great scholarship
Plus its a one year course
So i am saving alot of money
Coz if i am applying to other universities like uni of Utah or RIT
They have double the fees
their scholarship is given to everyone who applies
very common tactic with for profit schools
Is valid, but still i’ll be saving alot than other universities
these schools will keep you from graduating as long as possible
Coz then i’d have to pay for loving accommodations for 2 yeats
Whereas here only one year
that's what is claimed, not what you will get
look up the reviews and check the graduation rates
often, it will be low as they will flunk you for arbitrary reasons
esp for intls
Okay if lets say we dont consider the fees and money part
How would the quality of education be there?
Like its upto me to study and network
But what they offer would that be nice!
?
it will vary a lot, but there are some for profits that are okay
usually they will be lower quality than public and other nonprofit schools
this one is not accredited by a serious agency
that means, it is treated as a diploma mill if you try to get a job with this
^a diploma mill is a place that gives people degrees without any standards ie no credibility
You'll also have a chance at scholarships at places like those
Absolutely not
Never go to a for profit
They’re very rarely accredited
And if your degree is not accredited it will not be considered reputable when you’re applying for a job
also I'm pretty sure the underlying parent company Bristol Capital owns LA Film school and The Recording School
and other scams like that
they scam mostly clueless/deluded people into thinking that their arts degree is valuable
