Instead of being a total number of hit exclusively. make it the value of those hits as well. Meaning if i hit for 1000 i get more proficiency than if I hit someone for 10.

Agreed! Stop the npc farms for proficiency.

Better idea, get proff only on killing!!! It will make people go outside of their training bubble way more touch some grass and make money from npcs and its simply on kill

Me too, hopefully the fact that so many of us are asking for it, it may get implemented. They don't need to even take away the proficiency gain that there currently is. They just need to reward more proficiency gain for the kill so it is worth killing them instead of just farming them in torture rack/stacked on eachother.

If you can't beat them... join them. I cant believe I'm having to do this to level up my weapon proficiencies but until there is a change in how it works, unfortunately this is what I have to do to level up my proficiencies 🤦‍♂️

Well I can hit 3 of them with a stone hoe consistently. They heal by themselves.

I have done other methods, putting them in a cage and piling them in one spot. But that is terrible as they never seem to heal. So after 2 minutes, you have to knock them down and heal them up anyway.

....you have to de-aggro them, then they heal and you don't have to bother with food. you can literally hit 10 at once instead of 3. thats more than 3x faster 😛
placing a station that you can use, like a weapons bench or campfire and stuff also helps reducing aggro range by a lot (when using).
either that or just walk away for 5 minutes, their natural regen is faster than you with health pots and food.

I used to have 3 prisons, I'd hit about 5 of them to low health, then teleport to the next and do that, then the next but by the time I'd go back to the start they weren't healed up.

Maybe I'll give that a go later but then whenever there is an update, they all disappear if they are not tied up.

The health regeneration is slow AF without them being in a rack/wooden prison. Maybe I wasn't doing it right. I'll give it a go again another time.
