We like the boundary markers for guild bases. It creates an additional goal that players must work towards if they want to expand their base, and it helps to manage old structures so that we (the admins) don't have to clean up unnecessary structures around the map.

However, it would be nice to have a setting to disable the weekly upkeep costs. This would allow our players to take extended breaks from the game without worrying about their base decaying.
As an admin, I can still destroy boundary markers, should I need to force an entire base to start the decay process.

just turn off building decay

Then that creates the job of admins having to manually do housekeeping of old/abandoned/unnecessary structures.

And it makes boundary markers redundant... As I mentioned, we like the boundary markers

the weekly tribute for anti-decay takes less than an hour to hit.. and I'm staring at the 6x cost in my guild

what are you worried about save file bloat ?

Worried about new players asking me to demolish a 20,000 structure base by myself using destroy commands, because decays turned off.
